In the darkness of the midnight hour, ideas come together in my mind…….from the day’s happenings I find that there may be a sequel to “Red Nails” to come……….perhaps entitled, “Black Nails”. All in time….. For now I hope for the “Red Nails” in my life to reach out and touch the hearts of many with all of their color, polish and imperfections from the events that unfold within a story that was written with hope. Sometimes the darkest moments of our lives can create strength we never thought possible and allow us to create in a way we never imagined.
In the dark of night, I find my muse and create characters that seem to always have a part of me within….a part of my heart. I may be seeking the truth, slashing at demons with my sword studded with silver stars or telling a tale of glittering faeries. A writer’s dream is that something they have written will touch someone’s heart and bring hope’s light to them in their darkest moments or, perhaps, bring joy, laughter and even tears. It is then that we know we have touched on the closest connection we have with each other…..a connection of the heart.
Red Nails is a story I wrote with love and all of its complications. It is a story that is close to my heart and will always be a part of me. Like the moon, love changes. It can either change and grow or disappear. It is a strength of will that either holds us together or ends a love that began as a fairytale. Fairytales have their dark moments, but in the end light always overcomes the black abyss. Hope is the key that unlocks the door to everything we wish for and allows our dreams to become reality.

“It took her husband leaving to finally know the man she married…
Red. It becomes the color that Hunter sees every day. After fifteen years of marriage her husband, Jon, leaves her and their life behind. Hunter is left with the revelation that only she can find out what happened to her fairytale marriage and her husband’s obsession with red nails and blonde hair. One night Hunter discovers a clue on a credit card statement. She decides to create an online alter-ego to tempt Jon into a relationship steeped in fantasy, discovery, laughter, and tears. Intense innuendo becomes the basis of their communications and she learns more than she ever thought possible about her husband—and herself. Red Nails is a story of endings and new beginnings, and one of beautiful memories and hope for the future.”
